Glenn Beck has veered so far off of his original conservative course that his intentions are difficult to interpret. And from my observations, this very gifted communicator may becoming completely unhinged. His actions and viewpoints during the past few years have been questionable to say the least, but during the last year and a half, specifically since Donald Trump filed for his presidential run, Beck has displayed extraordinary animosity for Trump and those who supported Trump.

Although Beck has been evolving into someone that appears to have lost his stability, I have continued to occasionally listen to and watch his radio and television programs. He sometimes offers valuable information, and I am interested in his perspective, even if I don’t agree with him. I also like to study his behavior as it is an indicator of his prudence and lucidity. And from all evidence, Beck could be the case study for research on cognitive dissonance.

But Beck’s latest stunt of cozying up to the Left to fight Donald Trump has resulted in a strange and wild exhibit of peculiar antics. Beck has teamed up with the far left Samantha Bee, the late night host of “Full Frontal.” Their mission is to stop the Trump administration or as Beck calls it, ‘Trumpism.’ Bee was a guest on Beck’s radio program, and then Beck sat down with Bee on her television show where the two explained how they are uniting to fight ‘Trumpism.’

If Beck doesn’t like Donald Trump, so be it. I support Trump, but I have my reservations about him, and the jury is still out. But I do know that anybody was better than Hillary Clinton. And I am pondering as to whether Beck would have initiated a fight against “Clintonism” had Hillary won. I rather doubt it. He professed to not liking her, but he did admit to considering voting for her for, in his words, “about five minutes.” In light of the fact that he has adamantly opposed and refused to even consider voting for Trump for one second, one can only surmise that Hillary Clinton rates above Trump.

I watched Beck and Bee schmooze on ‘Full Frontal’ just to see what all of the hoopla was about between these two goofballs. And my, oh my, did I get a rude awakening as to how low Glenn Beck could go. Keep in mind that I at one time respected Beck and his efforts to expose progressivism and a corrupted government. I am not a decade-long Glenn Beck detractor. I followed his show when he had a meritorious content to his programming. I watched and listened to him even when he began proselytizing rather entertaining his audience as the amusing political commentator.

What I saw occurring between Glenn Beck and Samantha Bee was a pathetic, non-humorous attempt to pretentiously connect to stop the so-called dictator, Donald Trump. They were silly, ludicrous, and over-the-top embarrassing. Thinking themselves to be comical the two began their ‘healing process’ by trading barbs about their audiences. Beck began by saying, “My audience would like to stab you relentlessly in the eye.” Beck laughed as though he was being humorous. Bee responded, “My audience wants to kill me for normalizing a lunatic like yourself.” And this is suppose to be funny?

Bee, who regularly speaks in filthy language on her show, explains to her audience that much of Glenn Beck’s message has changed. You bet it has. The guy has gone off the rails. Bee commended Beck for standing against conservatives who were angry with him for bashing Trump and his taking of the teddy bears and soccer balls to the children on the border. Beck happily picked up on Bee’s complimentary words and continued, “I tried to teach my audience, they’re children. They’re here, and they’re humans.” Beck explaining that he had to remind his own audience that these children were humans says a lot about his disrespect for his own audience.

First of all, Beck’s comment that he “tried to teach” his audience is condescending. He does not have to ‘teach’ his audience anything. They tune in to hear his analysis and presentations, not to be lectured by some pedagogue. Secondly, Beck’s audience, who rejected his handing out of teddy bears and soccer balls to the children of illegal immigrants, were not doing so out of callousness. They believed that the gesture would be a green light for other illegals to enter the United States. It was a matter of a difference of opinion in strategy, not cold-hearted cruelty by conservatives. But Beck used this slam against his audience to elevate his own ego.

Bee stated that she believed that they need a non-partisan coalition against Donald Trump. She declared, “It’s not just individual people against Donald Trump; it’s all of us against Trumpism.” Beck agreed with Bee and continued, “As a guy who has done damage, I don’t want to do anymore damage. I know what I did. I helped divide. I’m willing to take that. My message to you is; please don’t make the mistakes I made.” What mistakes, Glenn? Taking a stand against progressivism? Taking a stand against illegal immigration and globalism?

Then Beck posed questions to Bee, “Do you believe there’s a chance we fall into a dictatorship under Donald Trump? Do you believe we lose our freedom of speech and press under this president?” Beck said that Bee is just like he is, and they reached out towards each other and began holding hands. “Our skins are touching,” Bee cringed. Are these people creepy, or what?

It only gets creepier. The final segment of the sit down ends with Bee giving Beck a gift which is a “Strange Bedfellows” cake. The cake is a replica of Beck and Bee lying in a bed together. And then the two ghoulishly ate each others’ cake head. It was a disgusting display of a disturbing and weird Glenn Beck and a just as weird Samantha Bee.

Why has Glenn Beck transformed from a conservative firebrand to an apologetic, pitiful sellout? Former fans want to know. I have my theories. Stay tuned for Part 2 of “How Low Will Glenn Beck Go?”…………….to be continued
