Chelsea Clinton will be receiving the Lifetime Impact Award from Variety magazine and Lifetime next month. Umm, I’m not really sure what she’s done to deserve this (prestigious?) honor, but I’m thinking it has something to do with the fact that she is preparing her portfolio for a political run.
While being the kid of Hillary and Bill Clinton would most certainly create quite an impact on one’s life, that shouldn’t qualify her for an award. But then again Hillary didn’t deserve the “Liberty Medal” award that Jeb Bush presented to her on the eve of the anniversary of the Benghazi massacre either.
When it comes to handing out unjustifiable awards, Washington cronyism dominates. All in all, the Clinton family has received many things that they did not earn or deserve.
My political intuitions tell me that we are going to be seeing a lot more of Chelsea in the near future. She has been stepping out and appearing to be accomplished. This thirty-seven year old young woman serves as the vice chair for the Clinton Foundation. I’m wondering about the identities of the other applicants that Little Miss Chelsea beat out for that title. No doubt they were in the double digits.
Just last week it was announced that Chelsea has written a book entitled, “She Persisted.” Chelsea described the book in her tweet, “Persistence has changed the course of history-I’m so excited to share stories of girls and women who didn’t take no for an answer on May 30th.”
Chelsea Clinton should know something about people who don’t take no for an answer. Aside from her mother, Hillary, who is like the weed in the flower garden that just keeps coming back no matter how many times you pull it out, Chelsea has first hand experience with those who persist and refuse to take no for an answer.
Dear Old Dad Bill Clinton should receive a lifetime award for persistence. In fact, Chelsea’s book should be called, “He Persisted” in honor of Bill and Zippergate. Now, that’s a guy who refused to take ‘no’ for an answer.
Let’s see, there was Monica Lewinsky, Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and dozens of other women who know first hand that the Clinton patriarch never gives up and never hears the word ‘no.’ Or I should say, “He hears it but ignores it.”
But that’s just Bill. He never saw a woman he didn’t want to poke or dominate. But that’s only because he is “persistent.”
I really feel a little sorry for Chelsea. She may have fortune and fame and a whopper of a job title; Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation. How impressive! But she lacks what so many of us have had; parents who had morals and values, parents who taught us the significance of humility, integrity, and the wonders of a simple life.
I can only imagine the disgust and shame of having a serial sexual predator for a father, not to mention the treachery of her pathologically lying mother. And now her parents are no doubt pushing this new direction for her to walk; the path of a politician.
Chelsea Clinton does not have what it takes to be successful in politics. My observations and instincts tell me that she isn’t smart. She certainly doesn’t have the looks. And she has no passion or contagious enthusiasm with which to attract a following.
Chelsea Clinton can no longer expect to make it on the Clinton name in the Democrat Party. The party has moved even far to the left of the Clintons. They will not be interested in her other than maybe for a low level government position. They will allow her to play small time politics to keep the Clinton ball bat off of their knees.
