There are clowns to the left of me and jokers to the right, and I am stuck here in the middle with normal people. Every day brings not one, not two, but several outrageous reports reaffirming the madcap players in our political, media, and entertainment establishments. Just when you think we’ve touched bottom, you realize it’s quicksand, and you sink deeper.
Our chances of regaining some semblance of pervasive normalcy appears to be rather grim, but I never say never. It’s not that we can’t reclaim our systemic values, because we can. But there is a heavy price to pay for veering this far off course. There are natural consequences for thumbing our noses at God and preferring Enlightenment to His Word.
Perhaps we need to adjust our thinking to perceive the chaos around us as constructive, but not because it’s virtuous. The chaos is effective in that it reaches the slower thinkers among us. Chaos is like the noise from the jackhammer that you can’t escape. Eventually, you are forced to admit that there’s a guy with a jackhammer outside your bedroom window.
Liberals are notorious for ignoring the facts and the in-your-face madness of the left-wing ideology. But it’s that jackhammer, that chaos, which becomes impossible to ignore.
Two days ago the entire nation witnessed one of the most contemptible miscarriages of justice in modern history, even worse than the OJ Simpson verdict. Illegal immigrant and felon, Jose Zarate, was exonerated for killing Kate Steinle in cold blood. He admitted to it, and there were witnesses. At the very least, there should have been a manslaughter verdict.
In what can only be described as a moment of sacrilege, Zarate’s lawyer attacked President Trump and Vice President Pence immediately following the verdict. His words were both shocking and disgraceful.
Despite the horror of the Zarate verdict, the undeniable perversion of our justice system became blatant because of the jury’s lack of judgment. When a seven-time convicted felon walks free after killing a woman in broad daylight and throwing the murder weapon into the water, there is no argument.
And while California Democrats have become freaks of nature, even some New York Democrats paused with the not-guilty verdict. They had to notice. It was too big to ignore.
Meanwhile back at NBC, Matt Lauer is requesting 30 million dollars as a going away present from the network. Hey Matt, I guess that “I’m sorry” you threw out didn’t go very far, because NBC is refusing to pay out.
Where in the normal world can a guy sexually assault and harass women throughout his career, make an apology, “Oh, by the way, sorry I locked the door and pulled my pants down,” but I want my 30 million. Wow, Matt! Such remorse!
Let’s not forget the sexual harassment hush fund for lawmakers. Now get this; lawmakers have been anonymously using taxpayer money to settle their sexual harassment lawsuits. They have a special fund for the purpose of protecting men within their chambers who mistreat women. What in the hell is going on?
But it gets crazier. GOP Representative Marsha Blackburn has introduced a bill, the “Congressional Accountability and Hush Fund Elimination Act” which would require full disclosure of the settlements within 30 days. God Bless Rep. Blackburn for stepping up, but what the heck.
WE NEED A CONGRESSIONAL BILL TO STOP THE MISUSE OF TAXPAYER MONEY BY PERVERTED LAWMAKERS? WE CAN’T EVEN GET OBAMACARE REPEALED, AND CONGRESS HAS PUT US IN THE POSITION OF HAVING TO WASTE TAXPPAYER MONEY ON PASSING A BILL TO STOP CORRUPTION! And yes, I am screaming!
The Zarate verdict, the busting of Matt Lauer, and the Introduction of a bill to stop corruption in Washington are just three of this week’s reports of pandemonium, not to mention General Flynn’s decision to make a deal with the devil.
Each day I look around me for the normal people and wonder how many of us are left. How many of us still have our brains in tact when it comes to logical thought processing? I check out the people at work, in the doctor’s office waiting area, in the grocery store, and on social media. I observe their actions and listen to their words. And I wonder, if like me, they are normal people stuck in the middle of this madness.
